The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) comprises a membership of more than thirty (30) countries. The main objective of the CTO is to provide services and information necessary for the development of sustainable tourism for the economic and social benefit of Caribbean people.
With headquarters in Barbados and offices in New York and London, the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) is the Caribbean’s tourism development agency comprising membership of over 30 countries and territories including Dutch, English, French and Spanish, as well as a myriad of private sector allied members.
In addition to being the primary source of Caribbean tourism statistics in the world, our services to our members include: tourism marketing and project management; media relations and crisis communications support and training; hospitality and language training; negotiation assistance with potential investors, airlines and other key partners; networking and professional development.
The CTO’s vision is to position the Caribbean as the most desirable, year round, warm weather destination by 2017 and our purpose is Leading Sustainable Tourism – One Sea, One Voice, One Caribbean.

The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) is a federation of associations consisting of thirty-two (32) national hotel associations across the Caribbean. CHTA provides its members with exceptional value which generates business and advances a sustainable and profitable industry.
The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) founded in 1962, represents the entire spectrum of the hospitality industry’s private sector including 36 national hotel associations across the Caribbean region, over 600 hotel members with approximately 91,000 rooms, and more than 300 supplier companies represented as ‘Allied’ members.
